The Ministry of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration (Kemendes PDTT) received an indicative ceiling of Rp. 4.1 trillion for the 2021 fiscal year. This ceiling jumped 37.6 percent from this year's allocation as regulated in Presidential Regulation Number 54 of 2020 concerning Changes in Posture and Details of the 2020 State Budget, IDR 2.98 trillion.


PDTT Village Minister Abdul Halim Iskandar said the total budget was divided into nine work programs, namely three generic management support programs and 6 technical programs for underdeveloped areas, border areas, rural areas, and transmigration.


"The 2021 indicative ceiling is the result of a trilateral agreement on the government's 2021 work plan (RKP) between June 2-4, 2020. The total budget in the Village Ministry for PDTT is IDR 4.108 trillion," he said in a working meeting with Commission V of the Indonesian House of Representatives on Thursday (25/6). ).


Abdul detailed the need ceiling for the Inspectorate General of IDR 56.22 billion, the Directorate General (Directorate General) of Village Community Development and Empowerment of IDR 2.28 trillion, the Directorate General of Rural Area Development amounting to IDR 166.13 billion, the Directorate General of Specific Regional Development amounting to IDR 158.24 billion, and The Directorate General of Development of Disadvantaged Regions is Rp. 170.04 billion.


Meanwhile, for the Directorate General of Regional Preparation and Transmigration Settlement Development of Rp. billion.


On the same occasion, he also explained the target of reducing the village poverty rate by 11.7 percent or down 1.2 percent from the 2019 achievement, which was 12.9 percent. 25.1 percent, slightly down from the 2019 achievement of 25.5 percent.


In the RKP 2021, the Ministry of Villages PDTT also stated that the target for Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) was to increase from 5,000 to 7,000 units. For advanced BUMDes, Abdul targets to increase from 600 units in 2019 to 1,080 units. "The national priority development agenda for the Ministry of Villages PDTT by Bappenas prioritizes regional development to reduce inequality," he explained.


There is also a development focus in 2021, namely the recovery of industry, tourism, and investment as well as reform of the national health system, reform of the social safety net system, and reform of the disaster resilience system.


Furthermore, as of June 2020, Abdul said the realization of the work ministry's budget had reached 40.55 percent of the total budget. This achievement exceeded the target set for June of 35.1 percent.


"In June 2020, the budget realization was at a position of 40.55 percent, above the planned target for achieving budget absorption," he concluded.
